Quiet Riot v. Qui Dandy Windsor Z out of Varianca v. Libero H

Quiet Riot 4 year jumper prospect stallion v. Qui Dandy Windsor Z - Libero H

Quiet Riot is a 2016 stallion v. Qui Dandy Windsor Z out of Varianca v. Libero H. His pedigree reads some of the best jumping blood in the world, top to bottom, KWPN family 390. Quiet Riot's grandsire on his sire line is the world famous Quidam de Revell (Jalisco B x Nankin).

Quidam de Revell at the age of 8 years won over a million Francs, was winner of the 1990 Nations Cup in New York, the Grand Prix of New York and Dortmund. In 1991 he won the Nations Cup at Hickstead. He was member of the French Olympic Team in 1992 winning team bronze and fourth individually at the Barcelona Olympic Games, winner of Nations Cup of Rome, Nations Cup of Dinard, and Grand Prix of Rome with rider Herve Godignon. He has been in the top jumping stallion in the World Breeding Federation Championships many years. Eleven offspring, up to three generations, represented Quidam de Revell in the London Olympics making him top sire in the Olympics. Quidam de Revell was born in 1982, bred at the farm of Prince Amaury De Broglie by Mr. Lerrede. Quidam de Revell passed away only a few years after his retirement from sport in 2014. He stood 16.3 h, was approved for breeding with Selle Francais, Holstein, OS Oldenburg Intl., Denmark, KWPN, Belgium, Sweden. Quidam de Revel's dam, Dirka was also an international winner under Nelson Pessoa and was a three quarter sister to the French stallion Uriel.

Qui Dandy Windsor Z dam sire is Cassini II and out of the famous Holsteiner stam family 890. Cassini II was approved by the Holsteiner Verband in 1996 with a high jumping index though did not compete due to injury at a young age. Cassini II's sire, Capitol I, was on the top of the WBFSH (World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses) rankings lists 2000-2001. Stam 890 has a multitude of international jumpers including Conally, Corinessa, Crocodile Dandy, Feodora, Frimella and Eurocommerce Berlin.

Quiet Riot is out of the KWPN mare Varianca by Libero H out of a Marlon (v. Zeus) - Nimmerdor mare. Libero H was instensely bred with Holsteiner foundation sire line Achill 1265 in mind by breeder Martin Ropke. This sire line only survived in Holsteiner breeding after WWII through Farnese, sire of Fasolt. This sire line is no longer available as pure Holsteiner blood but interestingly enough is often seen in modern breeding through the KWPN stallion Nimmerdor. This old line of blood had it's faults in conformation but is the root of Holstiner jumping power. Varianca's breeding, adding more Achill 1265 through her dam, would have made Martin Ropke proud.

Libero H sired over 150 international jumpers, won 51 international competitions and placed in 211 international competitions. He won 10 World Cup Qualifiers and 12 Grand Prix including the Grand Prix at Lanaken at the age of 7 with Jos Lansink.

Varianca was imported to USA by Windsor Farm in Upperville, VA competing in jumpers for a short time before becoming more important as a broodmare. She had numerous foals to Canazaro and Cantari Stern before suffering disabling laminitis. Varianca produced one last colt to Qui Dandy Windsor Z, Quiet Riot.
